July 20.00: Light For The Day - "I pray tonight the God of peace"

I pray tonight the God of peace 
Receives our humble praise 
And grants that those in Him increase; 
Perfecting Godly ways. 

I pray tonight the God of grace 
Shall recollect the cross, 
Receiving those who seek His face 
And count all else as loss. 

I pray tonight the God of love 
Will show us that He cares 
Not just for us but Christ above 
Whose heart with ours He pairs. 

I pray tonight the God Who knows 
The future and the past, 
But presently forgives all those 
Who live for Christ at last. 

And I pray tonight that we may know 
That life in Him is best 
When we go where He says to go 
But leave to Him, the rest.
