Sept 27.00: Light For The Day - "Obeying God"

"Every one who comes to me and hears my words
and does them, I will show you what he is like:
48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep,
and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood
arose, the stream broke against that house, and
could not shake it, because it had been well built.
49 But he who hears and does not do them is like
a man who built a house on the ground without a
foundation; against which the stream broke, and
immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house
was great."

Compared to God's part, our part is minuscule
but necessary. We don't have to do much,
but we do have to do something.

Write a letter.
Ask forgiveness.
Call your pastor.
Call your friends.
Call home.
Confess.
Visit a doctor.
Be baptized.
Feed a hungry person.
Pray.
Read your Bible.
Teach.
Witness.
Go.
.....
Do something that demonstrates faith.
For faith with no effort no faith at all.

Father, your love compels us to do what we never
thought we could do and go to heights we never
thought we could reach. We step out in faith to
be obedient to you!
