Mar.01.01: Light For The Day - "Faith"

 

 -- Romans 1:16 

 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel:

 it is the power of God for salvation to every one

 who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."

 -- 1 Corinthians 2:5 

 "That your faith should not be in the wisdom of men

   but in the power of God."

   "Faith"

 

  The great and mighty things of God,
  Will not come to pass as planned,
  Until our finite minds can comprehend,
  The magnitude of His great hand.

 

  The works of God depend upon,
  Our faith that He can do,
  The things He's told us in His Word,
  And our courage to follow through.

 

  He does not show us an easy road,
  To this abiding Faith and trust,
  But He leads us gently by His hand,
  Saying to us, "You must."

 

  The Holy Spirit moves us on,
  To seek His Will for man,
  Helping us to find our place,
  In God's great Will and plan.

 

  If we seek His help in the morning,
  When the day is at its best,
  Then our work will count for something,
  When God puts it to the test.

 

  God cannot lead a doubting heart,
  To find abiding joy and peace,
  But to the trusting heart he can impart,
  That sense of sweet release.

 

  Let Satan plant His doubts and fears,
  In some other fertile place,
  Let's keep our faith, our hope, our joy,
  And enjoy all of God's good grace.
