May.03.02: Lftd - "
A House Of Prayer For All Nations"
-- Isaiah 56:7 (NIV):
"These I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy
in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be accepted on My altar; for My house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations."
-------------------
Last night I had a unique experience. I awoke intensely
oppressed and as I lay under the dead weight of it,
it dawned on me that it meant I was to pray, so I got to work
to pray for the men who have just gone off to the fighting line,
and in a marvelous way the oppression left and
peace ineffable came, and the words emerged,
"a house of prayer for all nations." It is a good thing to
stake
your confidence on the ground of the perfected Redemption
and pray from that basis.
-- Oswald Chambers
The men who went off to the firing line were soldiers during
World War I. God woke Oswald Chambers up to pray for these men.
This is a common occurrence among regular pray-ers.Don't be surprised if God comes to you in the middle of
the night and asks you to pray. You may never see the answer,
but others will. And perhaps someday in eternity,
God will let you see too.

The great battles, the battles that decide our destiny and
the destiny of (next) generations yet unborn, are not fought on
public platforms, but in the lonely hours of the night and
in moments of agony.
-- Samuel Logan Brengle.

-- Philippians 4:6
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
-- Psalms 42:8 (NIV)
"By day the LORD directs His love,
at night His song is with me --
a prayer to the God of my life."
