May.15.02: Light For The Day - "Dear Jesus"

-- Acts 20:35 (NIV)
"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work
we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus
Himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

------------------------------
Dear Jesus ,

I beg but a moment of Your precious time.
To discuss with You all the things on my mind.

I thank You for dying up there on the Cross,
I know without You, we all would be lost.

I wish I could have seen You back then in Galilee,
but I realize that here You have plans for me.

I am so blessed in my warm comfy life,
I must always remember that others live with strife.

Please, My Father, Bless the homeless and poor,
Sometimes I am so selfish, always wanting more.

Touch all of those who do not believe,
help them to see that they are being deceived.

Please break the chains of fornication and drugs,
replace it with Faith and warm tender hugs.

Heal all the children who live with disease,
for all of these things I'm down on my knees.

Give me wisdom, I beg, to know what to do,
how to help people and always please You.

I love You dear Jesus, my life is Yours to command,
my Joy is knowing that You hold my hand.

You are the captain of my vessel, my lighthouse in the storm,
in Your precious love I stay so safe and warm.

I know You are with me, no matter what comes,
and I humbly Praise You, Thy will be done!

You make no mistakes, we're all precious in Your sight,
I am humbled by Your Glory and Your awesome Might.

I do not deserve Your devotion and love,
my soul soars with joy on the wings of a dove.

I am Your faithful servant, I'll pay any cost,
I know that without You I am hopelessly lost.

Emmanuel , Messiah, Bright Morning Star,
Let Your praises ring from near and from far!

-- Psalm 108:5,6 (NIV)
"Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth.
6 Save us and help us with your right hand,
that those you love may be delivered."

-- 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (NIV)
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also
reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also
reap generously.
7 Each man should give what he has decided in
his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work.
9 As it is written: "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor;
his righteousness endures forever." {9 Psalm 112:9}
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge
the harvest of your righteousness.
11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous
on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in
thanksgiving to God.
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying
the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in
many expressions of thanks to God.
13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves,
men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies
your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in
sharing with them and with everyone else.
14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you,
because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!"
