Feb.02.03: Light For The Day - "The Sword of The Spirit" -- Ephesians 6:17 (NIVUS) "Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,which is the word of God." ---------------------- Thank You, Father, for the sword of the Spirit, Your Word, my Bible. Its truths and promises are precious to me. Its lessons are ageless. Your Words are full of grace, wisdom, and power. I'm amazed at how so many lessons speak directly to my own life's situations, giving me direction on what to do. Thank You for the authority in Your Word and for how I can claim its promises. It is a light to my pathway so I won't stumble. Your Word is all-powerful and cuts through to my heart's desires like a sharp two-edged sword and reveals that which is and is not pleasing to You. Teach me the right way, Lord. Thank You for how You Word breaks the devil's barriers and temptations. All I need to do is peak the words from Your Scriptures and he flees. Your Words reveals Your mighty glory to those around me. Help me remember to use the verses I've learned to help myself and others, but to say them wisely, with guidance from Your Holy Spirit.
