26 the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace."

-- Ephesians 6:2-3

What Is A Dad?

A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.
A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.
A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...
Dad, you're everything a dad should be and some.

DADDY'S HANDS

I remember daddy's hands folded silently in prayer
And reaching out to hold me, when I had a nightmare
You could read quite a story in the callous and lines
Years of work and worry had left their mark behind
I remember daddy's hands how they held my mama tight
And patted my back for something done right
There are things that I'd forgotten that I loved about the man
But I'll always remember the love in daddy's hands
Daddy's hands were soft and kind when I was crying
Daddy's hands were hard as steel when I'd done wrong
Daddy's hands weren't always gentle but I've come to understand
There was always love in daddy's hands.
I remember daddy's hands working till they bled
Sacrificed unselfishly just to keep us all fed
If I could do things over, I'd live my life again
And never take for granted the love in daddy's hands

Heavenly Father

First and foremost...there is a Father who DOES care and LOVES us beyond all imagination. That is, of course, our Heavenly Father... He loves us more than we can even think..
-- John 3:16     "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."

He gave us His very best ... His only Son..
-- Romans 5:8 ... "But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."..

The ultimate sacrifice of love...We have an opportunity to fellowship with the Creator of the Universe and yet He deems to allow us the privilege of coming boldly before His throne and to call him "Daddy".....
-- Romans 8:15-17
15 For we did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but we received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
16 For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are God’s children.
17 And since we are His children, we will share His treasures — for everything God gives to His Son, Christ, is ours, too. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.

Thank you, dear FATHER for allowing us to be Your children.
