May.25.06: Light for the Day -
"Encourage One Another"
-- Romans 12:6-8
6 We have different Gifts, according to the Grace given us.
If a man’s Gift is Prophesying,
Let him use it in Proportion to his
Faith.
7 If it is Serving, Let him Serve;
If it is Teaching, Let him Teach;
8 If it is Encouraging, Let him Encourage;
If it is Contributing to the needs of others,
Let him Give Generously;
If it is Leadership, Let him Govern Diligently;
If it is Showing Mercy, Let him Do it Cheerfully.

4 For everything that was Written in the past was Written to
Teach us, so that through Endurance and
the Encouragement of the Scriptures we might have Hope.
5 May God, who gives this Patience and Encouragement,
Help you Live in Complete Harmony with each other --
each with the Attitude of Christ Jesus toward the other.
6 Then all of you can Join Together with One Voice, Giving
Praise and Glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 So Accept each other just as Christ has Accepted you;
then God will be Glorified.

Therefore Encourage each other with these words.

"Encourage One Another"
Have you ever felt so defeated,
So crushed and broken, too,
That no matter how hard you tried,
There seemed to be no hope for you.
And then without any warning,
A friend appears on the scene,
And offers you a helping hand,
And turns a dull day into the unforseen.
A few words of instant understanding,
An offer to help you out,
And you begin to breathe again,
And no longer whine or pout.
God always knows when we've been hurt
He knows our every need,
He may be testing our endurance
While planting a fertile seed.
He may be testing our faith in Him,
As we plod life's great highway,
And we will learn great lessons,
When we take the time to pray.
No matter what the problems are,
When we give them all to Him,
God has all the right answers,
And we get back our silly grin.
When we help someone recover,
We will find life's brighter side,
And we will be rewarded some day,
When in His eternity we abide.
When we encourage one another,
We build a sturdy bridge,
Across life's raging rivers
To heaven's awesome ridge.

Humble and Gentle, and you will Find Rest for your souls.

God knows how often I Pray for you. Day and night I
bring
you and your needs in Prayer to God, whom I serve with
all my heart by telling others the Good News about His Son.

1 Therefore, since we have been Justified through Faith,
we have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom we have Gained Access by Faith into
this Grace in which we now Stand. And we Rejoice in
the Hope of the Glory of God.
3 Not only so, but we also Rejoice in our Sufferings,
because we know that Suffering Produces Perseverance;
4 Perseverance, Character; and Character, Hope.
5 And Hope does not disappoint us, because God has
Poured out His Love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
whom He has given us.

2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you
His Grace and Peace.
3 All Praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is the Source of every Mercy and the God who Comforts us.
4 He Comforts us in all our troubles so that we can Comfort
others. When others are troubled, we will be Able to give
them the Same Comfort God has given us.
5 You can be Sure that the more we suffer for Christ,
the more God will Shower us with His Comfort through Christ.
6 So when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your
Benefit and Salvation! For when God Comforts us, it is so
that we, in turn, can be an Encouragement to you.
Then you can Patiently Endure the same things we suffer.
7 We are Confident that as you share in suffering,
you will also Share God’s Comfort.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though Outwardly we are
wasting away, yet Inwardly we are being Renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are Achieving for us
an Eternal Glory that far outweighs them all.
18 So we Fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is Unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is Unseen is
Eternal.

1 The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He Makes me lie down in green pastures,
He Leads me beside quiet waters,
3 He Restores my soul.
He Guides me in paths of Righteousness for His Name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will Fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they Comfort me.
5 You Prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You Anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely Goodness and Love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will Dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

So be Strong and Take Courage,
All you who put your Hope in the LORD!

Unsearchable things you do not know."

For I am the LORD, your God, who Takes Hold of
your right hand and Says to you,
Do Not Fear; I will Help you.

"Plans to Prosper you and not to harm you,
Plans to give you Hope and a Future.
12 Then you will Call upon Me and Come and Pray to Me,
and I will Listen to you.
13 You will Seek Me and Find Me
when you Seek Me with all your heart."

17 Encourage your hearts and Strengthen you in every
Good Deed and Word.

13 But Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today,
so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.
14 For if we are Faithful to the end,
Trusting God just as Firmly as when we First
Believed,
we will Share in all that Belongs to Christ.

Your Love has given me Great Joy and Encouragement,
because you, brother, have Refreshed the hearts of God’s people.

For I know that as you Pray for me and as the Spirit of Jesus Christ
Helps me, this will all turn out for my Deliverance.

Therefore Encourage one another and
Build each other up,
just as in fact you are doing.

May the God of Hope Fill you with all Joy and Peace as you
Trust in Him, so that you may Overflow with Hope by
the Power of the Holy Spirit.
