Sept.27.06: Light for the Day - "The Hand of God"
(Viet)
(C)

(F)
-- Psalm 84:11-12
11 For the LORD God is our light and protector.
He gives us Grace and Glory.
No good thing will the LORD withhold from those who do what is right.
12 O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who Trusts in You.
--------------
In the midst of sorrow and trouble, this life has many blessings
and enjoyments that have come from the hand of God.
Think of the blessings we so easily take for granted: Life itself;
preservation from danger; every bit of health we enjoy; every hour
of liberty; the ability to see, to hear, to speak, to think, and to imagine -
all this comes from the hand of God. Even our capacity to love is
a gift from God. Most of all, God has given us the gift of Christ.
What should our response be? We can put it in one word: gratitude.
But how do we show our gratitude?
By giving back to Him a part of what He has given us.
What have you done lately to show your gratitude to God for
all that He has done, and is doing for you?
-- Billy Graham
-- Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name
of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
-- Psalms 106:1
Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD,
For He is good; His love endures forever.
-----------------
-- Psalms 105:1-5
1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name;
Make known among the nations what He has done.
2 Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts.
3 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4 Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.
5 Remember the wonders He has done,
His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced.
-- Psalms 62:8
Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.
-- Psalm 37:3-6
3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Delight yourself in the LORD
and He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
Trust in Him and He will do this:
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
-- Isaiah 30:18
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you;
He rises to show you compassion.
For the LORD is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for Him!
-- Psalms 32:2
Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count
against him
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
-- Psalms 112:1
Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who finds great delight in His commands.
-- Jeremiah 17:7-8
7 But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in Him.
8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by
the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always
green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.
--------------------
-- Romans 8:16-18
16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.
17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs --
heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in
His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.
18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with
the glory that will be revealed in us.
-- 2 Corinthians 4:16-17
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away,
yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us
an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
-- Galatians 6:9-10
9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time
we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
10 therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
-- Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For it is by Grace you have been Saved, through
Faith --
and this not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God --
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus
to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
-- Philippians 2:5-10
5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
7 but made Himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself
and became obedient to death -- even death on a cross!
9 therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him
the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
-------------------
-- Colossians 1:9-12
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not
stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge
of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord
and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work,
growing in the knowledge of God,
11 being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so
that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully
12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in
the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
-- 2 thessalonians 1:12
We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you,
and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
-- 2 thessalonians 3:1
Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread
rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.
