"God's Timing is Perfect"
(<<)
(>>) -- Jeremiah 29:11-13 11 For I know the Plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, Plans to give you Hope and a Future. 12 Then you will call upon Me and come and Pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. -- Psalms 69:13 But I Pray to You, O LORD, in the time of Your favor; in Your great love, O God, answer me with Your sure salvation. -- Romans 12:12 Be joyful in Hope, Patient in affliction, Faithful in Prayer. God will always answer our prayers; but He will answer them in His way, and His way will be the way of perfect love. -- William Barclay We live in an age of immediate gratification. Instant messaging. Instant coffee, instant breakfast. Instant rice-noodle, .... In today's world, you can get quality eyeglasses in less than an hour or a hot, fresh pizza delivered to your door in less than thirty minutes. People today demand quickness and convenience, and usually get it. However, these expectations should not spill over into your spiritual life. God doesn't work according to human deadlines. His timing isn't always your timing, but it is always perfect. He will answer, and you'll have His answer when you need it. ... No matter what you may be praying about, God hears your prayer. Sometimes His answer is No, sometimes Yes, and sometimes Wait. You can be assured that God will answer you according to His infinite wisdom, impeccable timing, and boundless love. If you feel that God is giving you a No answer, think about what He might be trying to teach you. Think about how what you want might not be what you need, at least at the present moment -- because what seems like a "No," might well be a "Wait." If that is the case you will discover that the Wait will be worth it. God is Always There Our Heavenly Father is always there He knows our sadness and dispair And if we would just call on Him He will always hear our prayer. When in our life those stuggles come And we tend to feel so alone Our Fathers watching from above With compassion and such love He knows our every weakness He sees us when we fail And yet His perfect love for us He continues to unveil He loves to see our child like faith As we kneel beside our beds And share our hurts and broken dreams Before we lay down our heads So when you are discouraged And you think that no one cares Just give it all to God above Because He is always there. -- Ruth Johnson Keep praying, but be thankful that God's answers are wiser than your prayers! -- William Culbertson -- Isaiah 55:8-12; 46:10; 41:13 55:8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 55:9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. 55:10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, 55:11 so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. 55:12 You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. 41:13 For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. -- Ecclesiastes 3:11; 7:14; 8:6-7 3:11 God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has Planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 7:14 When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future. 8:6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man’s misery weighs heavily upon him. 8:7 Since no man knows the future, who can tell him what is to come? -- Psalms 5:3; 17:6; 27:14; 33:11,20; 40:5; 66:18-20; 130:5; 143:10 5:3 In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; In the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation. 17:6 I call on You, O God, for You will answer me; Give ear to me and hear my Prayer. 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. 33:11 But the Plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations. 33:20 We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. 40:5 O LORD my God, You have done many miracles for us. Your Plans for us are too numerous to list. If I tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. 66:18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; 66:19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in Prayer. 66:20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my Prayer or withheld His love from me! 130:5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, And in His word I put my Hope. 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, for you are my God; May Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. -------------------- -- Ephesians 1:8-10 8 He has showered His kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. 9 God’s secret Plan has now been revealed to us; it is a Plan centered on Christ, designed long ago according to His good pleasure. 10 And this is His Plan: At the right time He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ -- everything in heaven and on earth. -- Galatians 6:9-10 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. -- 2 Corinthians 6:2 For He says, "In the time of My favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." (Isaiah 49:8) I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. -- 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. -- Matthew 7:7-8 7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. -- Jude 1:20-21 20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most Holy Faith and Pray in the Holy Spirit. 21 Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. -- Philippians 4:6-7 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -- Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. |
