(Home) (VN) (C1) (C2) (Ko) (Sp) (Fr) (It) (De) (Ru) (Ar) ("Pray To Receive Christ") -- John 3:16 For God so Loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life. -- John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." There is no more urgent and critical question in life than that of your personal relationship with God and your eternal salvation. -- Billy Graham Most people believe that Heaven is the place of internal happiness where good people go after they die. The question is, what makes a good person? Some people believe that they can secure their place in Heaven by doing a lot of good deeds. Others think the way to get in is to live a good life, as perceived by the values of society. Some think the way is through meditation and inner enlightenment. Still others think that one is good only if he or she adheres to a strict set of rules and guidelines. (Ecclesiastes 7:20; 1John 1:8-10) Consider the meanness and the hurts that you see inflicted by some people. Then consider the kindness and compassion that you see practiced by caring people toward everyone with whom they come in contact. This reads like what is popularly called a no-brainer -- it sure doesn't require much thought to determine which of the two types of people is more worthy of Heaven. But you know the answer to that already, right? Neither type is worthy (Matthew 7:21; Romans 2:11-12; Ephesians 2:8-10). The problem is that you can never be good enough to earn your way into Heaven (Ecclesiastes 7:20). If you think you will go to Heaven just because you're a good person (Ephesians 2:8-10) -- forget about it! Heaven is more than just a place for good people to go when they die, it is in fact the dwelling place of God (Psalm 23:6; John 14:23; Revelation 21:3). To enter into Heaven means to enter into the presence of God, which is something that no one who has ever committed even one sin during his or her lifetime can do. The dilemma here is that according to the Bible, everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one qualifies (Romans 2:11-12; Romans 3:10-12, 20-26). God cannot endure sin. He doesn't sweep it under the rug or pretend it doesn't exist. Because of His incredible love, however, He has provided a way for you to enter into His presence and receive eternal life. The cost was high, for the only way to cleanse you of your sin was to send His Son Jesus into the world to bear the sins of all humankind. As an ultimate gesture of love, He allowed His Son to be crucified as a sacrifice for your sins, so that through Him you could receive salvation and enter into His presence (John 3:16; 1 John 4:10; Romans 5:8). Take advantage of God's goodness by receiving the priceless free Gift He offers you (Romans 6:23). To receive it, all you have to do is believe that Jesus died for your sins, and then confess those sins to God (Isaiah 55:6-7; Acts 2:38; 1John 1:8-10). God will cleanse you and make you holy in His sight (Isaiah 1:18). He will not only give you eternal life, but He will also give you new values and a new reason for living. He will make you a part of His family and give you the strength to follow Him (Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 4:13; John 15:5; Romans 6:20-23; 1Peter 1:3-5; Titus 3:4-7). -- CK4Life -- Romans 10:8-11 8 But what does it say? "The Word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame." (Isaiah 28:16) Man needs, above all else, salvation. He needs to turn round and see that God is standing there with a rope ready to throw to him if only he will catch it and attach it to himself. -- Norman Goodacre -- Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in Heaven." -- Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to men by which we must be saved. -- Luke 5:32 I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to Repentance. -- Ecclesiastes 7:20 Surely there is no one on earth so righteous as to do good without ever sinning. -- John 3:3-6 3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is Born Again." 4 "How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!" 5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. (Baptism) 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. -- Titus 3:4-7 4 But then God our Savior showed us His Grace and Love. 5 He saved us, not because of the good things we did, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins and gave us a New Life through the Holy Spirit. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us because of what Jesus Christ our Savior did. 7 He declared us not guilty because of His Grace. And now we know that we will inherit Eternal Life. -- Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For it is by Grace you have been saved, through Faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the Gift of God -- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. -- Matthew 18:3 Then Jesus said, "I assure you, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven." -- Matthew 9:13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." -- Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in Heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. -- Matthew 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near." -- Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and He will live with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God." -- Psalms 11:4 But the LORD is in His Holy Temple; the LORD still rules from Heaven. He watches everything closely, examining everyone on earth. -- John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. -- Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -- 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. -- 1 John 5:11-12 11 And this is the testimony: God has given us Eternal Life, and this Life is in His Son. 12 he who has the Son has Life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have Life. -- 1 John 1:8-10 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is Faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that His word has no place in our lives. -- Romans 3:10-12, 20-24 10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." (Psalms 14:1-3; 53:1-3; Eccles. 7:20) 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the Law; rather, through the Law we become conscious of sin. 21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from Law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through Faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 For all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet now God in His Grace declares us not guilty. He has done this through Christ Jesus, who has freed us by taking away our sins. -- Romans 2:11-12 11 For God does not show favoritism. 12 All who sin apart from the Law will also perish apart from the Law, and all who sin under the Law will be judged by the Law. -- Galatians 3:11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the Law, because, "The righteous will live by Faith." (Habakkuk 2:4) -- 1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God‘s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. -- Galatians 6:8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap Eternal Life. -- Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is Eternal Life in Christ Jesus our Lord. -- Acts 2:38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the Name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit. -- Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." -- 1 Peter 1:3-5 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us New Birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade -- kept in Heaven for you, 5 who through Faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. -- Isaiah 55:6-7 6 Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. -- John 14:23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our Home with him." -- John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. -- Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my Life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. -- Hebrews 4:16 Let us then Approach the Throne of Grace with Confidence, so that we may Receive Mercy and Find Grace to Help us in our time of need. -- 2 Corinthians 13:14 May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, And the Love of God, And the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. |
