"I SAID A PRAYER" I said a prayer for you my friend, That your struggles would soon end. That you would feel God’s peace with you, As you trust Him each day through. I prayed that you would feel His love, Rain down on you from up above. I asked Him to take care of you, Fill you with joy and laughter too. I prayed that He would let you know, That He will never let you go. That He’d pour blessings down on you, And make your grey skies turn to blue. I prayed that God would give you rest, And that He’d answer your request. I asked the Lord to touch your soul, Fill you with hope and make you whole. My friend I prayed that you would feel, His gentle touch reach down and heal. Just yield yourself to the Father above, And let Him hold you secure in His love. For life on earth grows more involved, With endless problems that can't be solved, But God only ask us to do our best, Then He will take over and finish the rest... So when you are tired, discouraged and blue, There is always one door that is open to you, And that is the door to The House of Prayer, And you'll find God waiting to meet you there. And The House of Prayer is no further away, Than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray. For the heart is a temple when God is there As we place ourselves in His loving care. And He hears every prayer and answers each one When we Pray in His name - Thy will be done. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. -- James 5:13-16 13 Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. 14 Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. -- Psalms 23 1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, 3 He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. The A.C.T.S of Prayer A= Adoration (Praising & Worshipping God) C= Confession (of sins to God) T= Thanksgiving S= Supplication (Intercession; Asking for things in Prayer) When the world drops you to your knees, take the opportunity to Pray! Don't worry about anything, Pray about everything. Though millions are bending God's ear in Prayer, He listens to each individually. More than anything else, Prayer is a relationship. We cannot survive without communication. Prayer is our communication with God. Do you want to survive? The purpose of Prayer is to find God's will and to make that will our Prayer. God's answers are wiser than our Prayers. Pray - don't think about it, because when you think about it, you think what you want to happen and not what is really happening. Rich is the person who has a Praying friend. Where there is much Prayer, there will be much of the Spirit; where there is much of the Spirit, there will be ever-increasing Prayer. |
