("How To Receive Christ")
-- Revelation 3:20 =
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.
-- John 1:12 =
Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name,
He gave the right to become children of God

"Close" =
/
At times my Lord is so very close /
Him and I in tune as one /
Fellowship so dear, love so pure /
My Lord and me are of one accord /
/
I give Him praise, He gives me peace /
Jesus it seems is just my Lord /
For me and me alone He died /
My personal Savior I know He is /
/
But this I know, He is not just my Jesus /
He is the Savior of the entire world /
Anyone can make Him Lord /
If they seek they too can find /
/
This fellowship so dear, love so pure /
Forgive me God I know I am wrong /
Nevertheless, sometimes it seems to me /
He is my Jesus, mine alone /
/
About me, everything He knows /
My secret thoughts, all my dreams /
He sees me as I truly am /
And yet He still loves me /
/
So very personal He is to me /
Sometimes it seems that He is just mine /

-- John 15:9,14 =
9 As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love. + 14 You are My friends if you do what I command.
-- Romans 8:14 =
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
-- Hebrews 11:6 =
And without Faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
-- Isaiah 55:6 =
Seek the LORD while He may be found;
Call on Him while He is near.
-- Jeremiah 29:11-13 =
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
12 Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
13 You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."
-- Romans 15:4-6 =
4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-- Colssians 1:3-6 =
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you,
4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints --
5 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of Truth, the Gospel
6 that has come to you. All over the world this Gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its Truth.
-- 1 Timothy 2:1-4 =
1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone --
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 Who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the Truth.
-- Philippians 4:6-7 =
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
-- 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 =
16 May our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
"What a Friend We Have in Jesus" =
/
1. What a friend we have in Jesus, /
All our sins and griefs to bear! /
What a privilege to carry /
Everything to God in prayer! /
O what peace we often forfeit, /
O what needless pain we bear, /
All because we do not carry /
Everything to God in prayer. /
/
2. Have we trials and temptations? /
Is there trouble anywhere? /
We should never be discouraged; /
Take it to the Lord in prayer. /
Can we find a friend so faithful /
Who will all our sorrows share? /
Jesus knows our every weakness; /
Take it to the Lord in prayer. /
/
3. Are we weak and heavy laden, /
Cumbered with a load of care? /
Precious Savior, still our refuge; /
Take it to the Lord in prayer. /
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? /
Take it to the Lord in prayer! /
In His arms He'll take and shield thee; /
Thou wilt find a solace there. /
/

-- Matthew 11:28-30 =
28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
-- John 14:26-27 =
26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
