("How To Receive Christ")

-- John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled; you Believe in God, Believe also in Me.

-- Hebrews 11:1,6
1 Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. + 6 And without Faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must Believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

ONLY BELIEVE

Has that trial in your life been going on so long
That everything in you screams, "This is so wrong."

You can't understand, it seems God is far away
As with tears you cry out to Him everyday,

If you read God's Word His truth you will see
That He has a job for you and a job for me,

ONLY BELIEVE! is what He has to say
At His feet this problem you must lay,

In His time and in His way
An answer to your problem will be there one day,

Keep on Believing, don't lose hope
He'll give you His grace enabling you to cope,

Keep your eyes on Him as to to Him you cleave
He has promised He will never forsake you or leave,

Give Him time to work it all out
The devil just wants you to worry and doubt,

Praising Him is one thing He's looking for
To bless you is what He has in store,

So no matter what, even when you don't understand
ONLY BELIEVE! that's what moves His hand.

-- Isaiah 55:8-11
8 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, ++ 11 so is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."

-- Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who Love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

-- 2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by Faith, not by sight.

GOD IS NOT FINISHED YET

A time came suddenly to bring us low,
With an illness at the evenings sunset;
We did not know the future of our lives,
God was not finished with us yet.

We are not given a Warranty in life,
Loved ones Prayed ~ no need to fret;
We leaned on Jesus for the Healing,
God was not finished with us yet.

We walked by Faith and trusted Him,
Many Prayed for us ~ we've not met;
We felt Prayers touch deep in our Souls,
God was not finished with us yet.

Beautiful colors etched the Western sky,
God painted a sunset we cannot forget;
We felt His Presence as we watched,
God is not finished with us yet.

He was with us in each lonely hour,
Jesus had lonely times but paid each debt;
In our weakness ~ Satan came to devour,
God is not finished with us yet.

We were kept strong so we could endure,
With God ~ all things are possible;
Health improved to restore which proves,
God is not finished with us yet.

-- Jeremiah 29:11-13; 33:3
29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

+ 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. + 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

FAITH IN THE WORD OF GOD

God says whosoever believes on His Son,
Has pardon obtained and a new life begun;
His sins blotted out, not by aught he has done,
But thro’ Faith in the Word of God!

Refrain:
His Word is a strong eternal rock,
Unshaken it stands thro’ fiercest shock;
Though Satan and all his hosts may mock,
I have Faith in the Word of God!

2. And God will make righteous and cleanse from all sin
The one who the chiefest of sinners has been;
He sanctifies wholly and justifies him
Who has Faith in the Word of God!
>> Refrain

3. O soul without God, without hope, without peace,
Just now come to Him, let your doubtings all cease;
He says He’ll receive you, your joys will increase,
O have Faith in the Word of God.
>> Refrain

-- Romans 10:17
Consequently, Faith comes from hearing the message,
and the message is heard through the Word of Christ.

-- Colossians 1:3-6
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your Faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints -- 5 the Faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the Word of truth, the Gospel 6 that has come to you. All over the world this Gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.

-- 1 John 5:3-5
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world -- our Faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

-- Psalm 119:7-20
7 I will praise You with an upright heart as I learn Your righteous laws. 8 I will obey Your decrees; do not utterly forsake me. 9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word. 10 I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands. 11 I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You. 12 Praise be to You, O LORD; teach me Your decrees. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from Your mouth. 14 I rejoice in following Your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. 15 I meditate on Your precepts and consider Your ways. 16 I delight in Your decrees; I will not neglect Your word. 17 Do good to Your servant, and I will live; I will obey Your word. 18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law. 19 I am a stranger on earth; do not hide Your commands from me. 20 My soul is consumed with longing for Your laws at all times.

BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

-- John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever Believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

-- John 6:35
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who Believes in Me will never be thirsty."

-- John 11:25-27;40
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who Believes in Me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and Believes in Me will never die. Do you Believe this?" 27 "Yes, Lord," she told Him, "I Believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, Who was to come into the world." ++ 40 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you Believed, you would see the glory of God?"

-- John 14:6, 10-11
++ 6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

+ 10 Don’t you Believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you are not just My own. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, who is doing His work. 11 Believe Me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; or at least Believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves

-- John 17:20-21
20 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will Believe in Me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may Believe that You have sent Me.

-- John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen Me, you have Believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have Believed."

-- Acts 2:21, 44
+ 21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
+ 44 All the Believers were together and had everything in common.

-- Acts 4:4, 12
+ 4 But many who heard the message Believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.
+ 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

-- Acts 16:30-31
30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved -- you and your household."

-- Romans 1:16-17
16 I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who Believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the Gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by Faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by Faith." (Hab. 2:4)

-- Romans 3:20-24
20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. 21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness from God comes through Faith in Jesus Christ to all who Believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

-- Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? "The Word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," (Deut. 30:14) that is, the Word of Faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you Believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame." (Isaiah 28:16) 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile -- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, 13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Joel 2:32)

-- Galatians 3:6
Consider Abraham: "He Believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." (Gen. 15:6)

-- 1 Timothy 1:15-16
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners -- of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would Believe on Him and receive eternal life.

-- 1 Peter 1:8-9; 21
8 Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you Believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the goal of your Faith, the salvation of your souls. + 21 Through Him you Believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your Faith and hope are in God.

-- Colossians 1:9-16
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. 13 For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him.

-- Hebrews 13:8; 12:2
+ 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

+ 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our Faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God
