Overwhelmed? Are insurmountable problems about to do you in? Are you nearly overwhelmed with difficulties, emergencies, and trials of all kinds? These may be divinely appointed instruments for the Holy Spirit to use in your life. It could take days or even weeks, but if you are patient and willing to find out how God plans to use your current struggles, they can become an avenue for spiritual growth. Problems can turn into possibilities. Tribulations can become a blessing that God could get to you in no other way. Bring all your problems to the Lord. Hold them up to Him in prayer. Sit quietly and wait for Him to work. Your restless fretting accomplishes nothing. Rest! Wait! Pray! Do nothing that you are not thoroughly convinced in your spirit He is leading you to do. Give God a chance to work. The insurmountable problems that you face today will become God's opportunity to reveal His love and grace to you as you have never known before. +*+*+*+*+*+*+ -- 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. -- Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, Patient in affliction, Faithful in Prayer. -- Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. -- Romans 5:1-5 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through Faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through Whom we have gained access by Faith into this Grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. ++ 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. Teach Us To Wait Patiently Waiting. Endless waiting, Why does it seem impossible To Wait patiently and Graciously -- .... For the overdue phone call .... Or the long-expected letter ... .... For delayed company to arrive .... Or a sick loved one to get better? Is there a special ingredient To fill the waiting time And easy the heavy burdens That weigh upon our mind? Could waiting possibly achieve a work Which nothing else can do? God, teach us how to Wait patiently And put full trust In You. -- Unknown +*+*+*+*+*+*+ -- Psalms 33:20-22 20 Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. 22 Let Your unfailing love, O LORD, be upon us, Just as we hope in You. -- Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, But not with God; All things are possible with God." Patience Throughout life, one of the hardest words to hear is WAIT. Sometimes we may anxiously wonder; "Where is God when I need Him?" An yet we are reminded in Scripture, "... Blessed are all who wait for Him!" (Isaiah 30:18). Patience is developed through faithful praying and waiting. God has a design in even the most difficult situations that will enable our character to become stronger. As we learn patience, we also learn to trust that God has our best interests in mind? He cannot abandon us, and He will always rescue us at just the right time. +*+*+*+*+*+*+ -- Proverbs 3:5-8 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. -- Lamentations 3:21-26 21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: "22 Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." ++ 24 "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I hope in Him!" 25 The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. 26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the LORD. Rejoice when I run into problems? Know trials are good for me? Things like that aren't easy -- Learning to live patiently. Growing in grace is a process. Developing character hurts. Becoming more Christ-like in all things Is an everyday process called work-by-faith. But if I have Faith it is possible. Faith knowing God loves and cares -- That all my burden and trials He also feels and shares. -- Unknown +*+*+*+*+*+*+ -- Philippians 4:6-7, 13 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ++ 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. -- Psalms 5:1-3 1 Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing. 2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray. 3 In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and Wait in expectation. Pray for Faithfulness, Patience and Endurance -- Jude 1:20-21 20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy Faith and Pray in the Holy Spirit. 21 Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. -- Hebrews 11:1, 6 1 Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. ++ 6 And without Faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. -- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 4 + Love is patient +, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 + Love never fails +. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. -- Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, + Patience +, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. -- 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage -- with great patience and careful instruction. -- Colossians 3:12-17 ++ 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and + Patience. ++ 13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ++ 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. ++ 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ++ 16 Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. ++ 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. -- 2 Peter 3:8-9 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. -- Romans 8:24-28 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. ++ 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will. ++ 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. -- Romans 15:4-6 4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. -- Psalms 37:7-8 7 Be still before the LORD and Wait Patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret -- it leads only to evil. -- Proverbs 16:32 Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. -- Proverbs 25:15 Through patience a ruler can be persuaded, and a gentle tongue can break a bone. -- Ecclesiastes 7:8 The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. |
