Saint. A sinner revised and edited by God.

---------
..... called to be saints: ...... (Rom. 1:7; 1Cor. 1:2)
Why were the saints, saints?
It is quite simple.
Because they were "Cheerful" when it was difficult
to be Cheerful.
Because they were "Patient" when it was difficult
to be Patient.
Because they pushed on when they wanted to stand still.
Because they kept silent when they wanted to talk.
Because they were agreeable when they wanted
to be disagreeable.

1Corinthians 1:2 (RSV): "To the church of God which
is at Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus,
called to be saints together with all those who in

Christ, both their Lord and ours."

Life Application Bible Notes:
Christians are "called to be Saints." God personally
invites us to be citizens of His eternal kingdom
through Jesus Christ, the "Son of God", who died on
the cross to remove our sins.
"Sanctified" means that we are chosen or set apart
by Christ for His service.
Romans 8:28 (RSV): "We know that in everything
God works for good with those who love him, who
are called according to his purpose."
2Timothy 2:19 (NIV): " ......... "The Lord knows those
who are his," and, "Everyone who confess the name
of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."
2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV): "I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race, I have kept rhe faith."
