The difference in a Christian is Jesus Christ. - Anon.

1Peter 4:16 (RSV):
"Yet if one suffers as a Christian, let him not be
ashamed, but under that name let him glorify God."
---------
CHRISTIAN:
The name given by the Greek or Roman's Gentiles,
probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus Christ.
It was first used at Antioch, "... and in Antioch the
disciples were for the first time called Christians"
(Act 11:26). They were called Christians or "Christ-ones"
because they had in common was Christ - not race,
culture, or even language. Christ can cross all
boundaries and unify all people.
This name Christian occurs only three times in the
New Testament #Ac 11:26; 26:28; 1Pe 4:16.

"Christian"
There is no easy way to be a Christian. Christianity
requires a lot of effort, sacrifice and commitment.
The heart of the Christian life is to live the way
Christ taught and lived. Though it sounds simple,
it is terribly difficult. The temptation is to throw up
our hands and say, "I'm not Christ! I can't do the
things He did!" Still, Christ himself said that we
should "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly
Father is perfect." (Matt. 5:48) How can Christ ask
such a thing of us?
Christ never for one minute thought that we would
be as perfect as God is. He knew that we are imperfect
and sinful. He also knew how much God loves us and
wants us to grow and to be happy. With His help we
can find joy and maturity. To assist God gave us His
Word; the Holy Scriptures. If we will be dedicated to
reading the Bible regularly, and do it prayerfully,
God will help us to understand it, and through
understanding we will be able to live more perfectly,
the way God intends.
PRAYER: O Lord, help me to know you, and through
knowing you, help me to be like you. Make me a faithful
and loving follower, and be with me to guide me this
day, and every day to come. Amen.

Ephesians 1:3-5 (RSV): "Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
......... He destined us in love to be his sons through
Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will."
Ephesians 2:8-10 (RSV): "For by grace you have
been saved through faith; and this is not your own
doing, it is the gift of God - not because of works,
lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God
prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
