Dec 5.97: Light For The Day - "To Be Friend"

and a brother is born for adversity."

"TO BE FRIEND"

Before we met, the Lord spoke to me.
Spoke of a friend, who I did not see.

The Lord told me be patient...be kind... 
For the friend I would meet would be in a bind.

I asked the Lord "What shall I do?"
He told me not to worry, He would lead me through.

The Lord said "Tell the child, I am the truth, 
I am the way...and let her make up her mind
to come my way."

"For if she does not, Let my love
shine through you.

Give her your heart, to
prove my love is true."

I wrote this poem
so that you will always know,
how much we love and care for you so.

For there is hope for those 
who trust in the Lord.
For he is the only one
who can remove the sword.

So open up your heart
and you will see,
how much he can love
and set you free.

For I thank the Lord for
sending me that day.
For being the ONE
to show you the way.

The Lord speaks of good things
to come
for those who wait.

The Lord sent me you,
my friend,
my soulmate...

For the Lord brought us together
for reasons he can only see,

TO BE FRIENDS, 
today, tomorrow,
and throughout eternity......
