Sept 17.98: Light For The Day - "Regrets"

"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to
salvation and leaves no regret,
But worldly sorrow brings death."

"Regrets" 

Lord, of regrets in this life,
I have many.

I regret holding back my faith,
from my friends.

I regret that I let
Ty die without
me being the one
to tell him about You.

I regret not listening
to my parents sooner.

I regret being such a loner at school.
So close mouthed, and defensive.
Not knowing where or how to fit it.

I regret wasting my abilities,
not doing my best at everything.
Saying half-done work would do.

I regret letting my faith in You fall.
slide away.
Knowing that You are God,
but saying I don't.

I regret letting others
get closer to me than You were.

Lord, of regrets in this life,
I have many.
But one thing will I never regret.
And that is letting You in my life.

I will never regret coming back to You,
and knowing You accept me.
Regrets may be many, but You are not one of them.
