I meet my God in the morning
When my day is at it's best,
And His presence comes like sunshine,
Like a glory in my breast.

And all day long His presence lingers,
And all day long it stays with me,
As we sail along together
On a very troubled sea.

So I think I know the secret
Learned from many a troubled way,
You must seek Him in the morning,
If you want Him throughout the day!
