I ask you to forgive
Tell me why, for so long
I feel I haven't lived.

New before, Old again
I'm tired of it all
When I try to live alone
I find I always fall.

Make me new, oh make me new
Take away this weight
Fill me with your awesome love
Clear this path, I pray.

Tell me that you know me well
My need to do it all
Fill me up, help me stand
I'm tired of this crawl.

Searching on my wounded knees
With these weary hands
In the dark, grasping so,
I cannot understand.

Send your light, shine your grace
On this dismal scene
With your presence in this place
I will be made clean.

Rescue me from stubbornness
