Dec. 17.98: Light For The Day - "Wear the Shield of the Lord!!!"

"The LORD is my strength and my shield;
in him my heart trusts;
so I am helped, and my heart exults,
and with my song I give thanks to him."

"Wear the Shield of the Lord!!!"

As a child you are weak
as you grow you begin to seek,
Jesus Christ our Lord
you are wearing his shield and his sword.

Everyone is born with sin
even as a little kin,
Life is hard and we need the Lord to find our way
we need Him to guide us everyday.

He is here for us through thick and thin
no matter how often we may sin,
It's hard to break away from Him
even though your life may dim.

If you do not come to know the Lord
you lose your shield and lose your sword,
Find them again and pick them up
and fill your heart just like a cup.

Let Jesus be a part of your life
let Him help you with your strife,
For if you do you will have eternal life.
