July 7.99: Light For The day - "Show me love!"

"Show us thy steadfast love,
O LORD, and grant us thy salvation."

"Show me love!" (my prayer)

Darkness surrounding me,
I can no longer see my path.
What was it, so long ago,
That got me going this way...

Out of the light and into the shadows.
My walls are thicker now,
Than they've ever been,
My heart harder than any pharaoh or king.

Where is the light and love
That once dominated my life.
Bring Your words to tear down my walls,
Eliminate that insulting and joking spirit

That has so long been a part of me.
Open the doors of my heart,
Where Your candle resides in a locked room.
Unlock the floodgates of my eyes,

So that I may cry again.
Love, lOVe, LovE, SHOW ME LOVE!
